- Interior height. You need roughly 18 to 19 inches of clear height. If your cabinet has a fixed middle shelf, check whether it’s removable — most are just resting on pegs.
- Clearance below. The shelf swings down and out. Make sure it won’t hit your faucet, a countertop appliance, or your range hood on the way down.
One more thing: these mount with screws into the cabinet’s side walls or bottom. If your cabinets are thin particleboard, add the mounting reinforcement most manufacturers describe in the instructions, or the first heavy load will find the weak point for you.

FAQ
