Kitchen Recap started because buying a kitchen tool online has become genuinely hard. Search for “best kitchen scale” and you’ll find a hundred pages that read like they were written by someone who has never owned one.
Who writes this
This site is written by Adeline. Not an agency, not a rotating team of freelancers — one person who cooks, buys kitchen equipment, and got tired of review sites that recommend whatever pays best.
How products get chosen
Every recommendation starts with research, not a hunch. For each product I look at verified review volume, ratings that have held up over months rather than weeks, and the specifications that actually affect how a tool performs — not the ones printed biggest on the box.
Products with a handful of glowing reviews and no track record don’t make the list. Neither do the ones where the complaints all point at the same flaw.
I don’t run a test lab, and I won’t pretend otherwise. What I do is spend the hours comparing forty options so you don’t have to, and tell you plainly which differences matter and which are marketing.
What we won’t do
We won’t recommend an expensive product when a cheaper one does the same job. Most of what we cover costs between $15 and $50, because that’s where the honest answers usually are.
